Privacy Policy

This notice explains what personal data Data Technology FZCO collects through www.servicepackdisplay.com and in the course of trade enquiries, quotations and shipments, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The site is a business-to-business catalogue of mobile phone screens and spare parts; orders are placed through our sales team rather than on the site, so most of the data we hold comes from enquiries, quote requests and the orders that follow them.

Controller

The company responsible for the processing described here (the "controller" in the sense of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law) is:

  • Data Technology FZCO, a free zone company licensed in Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA)
  • J-24 Dubai Airport Free Zone, P.O. Box 371237, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • E-mail: osiya@datatechno.net
  • Telephone: +971 52 923 7659

Questions about this notice, requests to access or delete data, and complaints can be sent to the e-mail address above with the subject line "Personal data".

Applicable law

Data Technology FZCO is established in DAFZA, a free zone that, unlike the DIFC and ADGM financial free zones, has no data protection regime of its own. Our processing is therefore governed by Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL") and any executive regulations issued under it. Where we hold data about people working for customers in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we handle requests from those people in line with the rights they are used to under the GDPR; the sections below are written to serve both audiences.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive data such as health, religious or biometric information. If you pass on a colleague's contact details so that we can deal with them directly, please make sure they know about this notice.

Cookies, analytics and web fonts

Cookies set by the site itself

The catalogue sets a session cookie (OCSESSID) so that the pages you open belong to one visit, cookies that store your selected currency and language (currency, language – 30 days), and small cookies that remember that you closed a notice or pop-up. These cookies carry no personal data beyond a random identifier and are not used to profile you.

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics (gtag.js), a service of Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to see which catalogue sections are used. When a page loads, the Google script sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which contain a random identifier, and reports the pages you view, your approximate location and the device and browser you use. We see only pseudonymous usage statistics and cannot identify you from them. The site does not show a cookie banner, so these cookies are set when a page is opened. Google may transfer the data to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you do not want to be counted, block cookies from google-analytics.com in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Google Fonts

The pages are displayed in web fonts that are loaded from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, operated by Google Ireland Ltd.). When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google and in doing so transmits your IP address to Google. No cookie is set by this request. Google's handling of the request is described in Google's own privacy policy.

Live chat (JivoChat)

The site embeds the JivoChat live-chat widget, a service of JivoSite Inc. (USA). The widget script loads on every page and sets cookies prefixed jv_ that identify your browser during the visit so that a conversation can continue between pages. When you open a chat, the messages you write, any name or contact details you enter, your IP address, browser type and the page you are on are transmitted to JivoChat's servers and shown to our sales team; the provider may process this data in the United States. We keep chat transcripts for as long as needed to answer the enquiry and for any order that follows. If you prefer not to use the chat, write to us by e-mail or WhatsApp instead.

WhatsApp links

Where a page shows a WhatsApp link, it is a click-to-chat link (wa.me or api.whatsapp.com) that opens the WhatsApp application on your device; nothing is transmitted until you send a message there. The content of the conversation is then processed by WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., under WhatsApp's own privacy terms, and we handle what you tell us in the same way as an enquiry by telephone or e-mail.

Who receives your data

  • Carriers: DHL, UPS and FedEx receive the consignee details and the commercial invoice needed to move and clear a shipment. Each carrier processes this data under its own privacy terms and, for customs purposes, shares it with the authorities of the transit and destination countries.
  • Hosting: the website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., Larnaca, Cyprus, on servers located in the European Union, under a data processing agreement that restricts the provider to acting on our instructions.
  • Google Ireland Ltd.: for the analytics and web fonts described above.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (WhatsApp): for conversations you start through a WhatsApp link.
  • Banks and payment providers: payment references appear in our bank statements. We never collect card details on the website.
  • Authorities: DAFZA, UAE customs and tax authorities, and courts, where the law requires disclosure.

The newsletter list is kept in the shop's own database and is not passed to a mailing service. We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

Transfers outside the UAE

Because we ship worldwide, consignee data necessarily leaves the UAE: it goes to the carrier's network and to the destination country. The website itself is hosted in the European Union, so form submissions, newsletter addresses and server logs are stored there. Analytics data and font requests are processed by Google Ireland Ltd., which may transfer them to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and WhatsApp conversations are processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Under Articles 22 and 23 of the PDPL we transfer personal data outside the UAE only where it is needed to perform your contract, where the destination offers an adequate level of protection, or where the recipient is bound by contractual safeguards.

How long we keep data

DataRetention
Enquiries that do not lead to an orderFor as long as necessary to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted unless statutory retention applies
Quotations, order confirmations, invoices, shipping documentsFor the period required by UAE commercial and tax record-keeping rules
Newsletter addressUntil you unsubscribe, then removed from the mailing list
Server logsThe hosting provider keeps server logs for a short period for security purposes and deletes them afterwards, unless an entry is needed to investigate a security incident
Google AnalyticsPseudonymous statistics are held in our Google Analytics property for as long as we need them for the purpose above; Google's own retention rules apply to the data it holds

Your rights

Under the PDPL you may ask us, free of charge, to:

  • confirm whether we process data about you and give you a copy of it;
  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete data that we no longer need for the purposes above or for a legal obligation;
  • restrict processing while a correction or objection is being examined;
  • stop using your data for direct marketing, at any time and without giving a reason;
  • receive the data you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw consent you gave earlier, for example for the newsletter, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.

We will ask you to confirm your identity before releasing data and will answer without undue delay. If you are not satisfied with our reply you can complain to the UAE Data Office, the federal data protection authority.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS only, and access to enquiry and order data is limited to the staff who handle quotations and shipments. No internet transmission is perfectly secure; if you need to share confidential documents, ask us for a secure channel first.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our processing or the law changes. The version published on this page applies; it was last revised on 1 October 2026.
